Well, it took a while to update my portfolio with some new stuff but I finally made it.

Here’s my new series which is entitled “Flash!” and features the gorgeous Sophie (@m4 models). The great styling was provided by Ariane Lindhorst and the beautiful makeup by Gudrun Müller.

These days I was invited to take part into a photographic competition which is held at the quarterly fashion meeting “Schönes Hamburg”. In the run-up to the event five photographers were asked to shoot one and the same clothes – a red jacket by Nusum and a blue overall by Musswessels – and present their work in just one photo. The photos of the five participants were shown at the meet-up last night and the guests elected a winner. I’m pretty amazed that they chose my photo as their favorite and feel very honored to be prized by such a competent audience.

Like almost every picture I take, this one again was the result of a great team’s work. So it’s not only my work which has been honored it’s also the merit of Tatiana Calasans (styling), Ann-Christin Galka (hair & make up) and the beautiful Tea and Lina, both from Place models, the agency who invited me to take part into the competition. Thanks to all of you!

Nathalie (@ Place models) was really a perfect “All-American girl” and the shooting was so much fun thanks to her and my amazing team. Tatiana Calasans once again did the styling and Ann-Christin Galka make-up and hair. I love it!

The clip is a weird eye-damaging compostion of different optical effects which have been projected onto the artist. If you’re suffering from epileptical shocks you shoud better not watch it.

I have been pretty busy in the meantime but also had some rare spare time to do some tests and here is one of the results. It’s called “Play of colours” and the beautiful model is Lisa-Marie (@place models) who did a fantastic job in this shooting. The wonderful make-up was once again provided by Ann-Christin Galka and the gorgeous styling by Tatiana Calasans.

I can’t get my hands off filming and so I gave it another try after a test-shooting I had with Tim (@m4models). I had this idea in my mind of reducing a movie to one single action of drinking a glas of water.

Tim liked the idea and so we shot this movie in about an hour or so. After editing it, the faboulous Great Paulukka added the music to it which fits perfectly and wonderfully underlines the mood of the images. Enjoy!

I am following the blog for quite a while now and thought it would be great if I could give something back for all the inspirations I get from there. Liberty, who is the editor of “steelmachines“, liked the idea of an exclusive editorial and so we produced this little series for him.

Tatiana Calasans created the wonderful playful outfits for it and worked out main conceptual parts and Ann-Christin Galka did beautiful the makeup and hairstyling. The amazing model is Emil (@m4models) who recently was “model of the week” on models.com.

The idea behind “The youth of today” is to portrait 13 to 25 year old kids and young adults just the way they are. Pure, straight and simple. No makeup (exept for the one they already and usually wear), no styling, no props and no retouching in the post-production. These are the rules.

The photos are taken almost immediatley after they come to the studio while we have a little talk to get to know each other.
